- DELTA /ˈdɛltə/ · noun
- The fourth letter of the Greek alphabet (Δ, δ). Also, a triangular tract of alluvial land formed where a river splits into distributaries before entering a sea or lake, and in science and mathematics, a symbol for change or difference in a quantity.
