- BANG /bæŋ/ · noun, verb
- A sudden loud noise, such as the sound of an explosion or a door slammed shut; as a verb, to strike something forcefully or make such a noise. Related: boom, crash, slam, thud.
- BUZZ /bʌz/ · noun, verb
- A low, continuous humming or murmuring sound, such as that made by bees; also a feeling of excitement or lively activity. As a verb, to make such a sound, or to move about quickly and busily. Related: hum, drone, murmur, whir.
- CLANG /klæŋ/ · noun and verb
- A loud, resonant metallic sound, typically produced by striking metal objects together; as a verb, to make or cause such a ringing metallic noise. Related: clash, clank, ring, chime.
- CRASH /kræʃ/ · noun, verb
