- CATCHER /ˈkætʃər/ · noun
- A person or thing that catches something, especially the fielder positioned behind home plate in baseball, who receives the pitcher's throws. Related: receiver, fielder, backstop, collector.
- BATTER /ˈbætər/ · noun, verb
- A semi-liquid mixture of flour, eggs, and milk or water used in cooking, especially for pancakes, cakes, and coating foods for frying; as a verb, to strike something or someone repeatedly and violently. Related: mixture, paste, dough, blend.
- BASERUNNER /ˈbeɪsˌrʌnər/ · noun
