- To propel or cast something through the air, typically with force or violence. A sudden or impulsive movement of the arm or body. Related: hurl, cast, pitch, toss.
- GOALKEEPER /ˈɡoʊlkɪpiər/ · noun
- The player on a sports team, especially soccer, whose job is to prevent the ball from entering the goal by catching or deflecting it. Related: goal tender, goal mind, keeper, net minder.
