- ARES /ˈeərz/ · noun
- Ares is the plural of the are, a metric unit of land area equal to 100 square metres. Ten thousand ares make up one square kilometre, and one hundred ares make up a hectare. Related: hectares, centiares, square metres.
- APHRODITE /ˌæfrəˈdaɪtiː/ · noun
