- Attractive or pleasing in appearance, character, or effect; capable of arousing interest or desire. As the present participle of the verb 'appeal', it can also describe something that makes an earnest request. Related: attractive, inviting, charming, engaging.
- AUGURY /ˈɔːɡjʊri/ · noun
- A sign of what will happen in the future; an omen. Also, the practice or art of interpreting such signs to foretell events. Related: omen, portent, sign, presage.
